The Step Up Into Construction partnership, a Yorkshire-based initiative aimed at tackling the skills shortage in the construction industry, has received a £1m funding boost. The England European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 and the Construction Industry Training Board have each granted the project £500,000. The partnership is an alliance of local councils, education providers, housing associations, careers advisors, social enterprise groups, training boards and public sector departments.
