WiFi SPARK connects with Santander after moving banking services

Exeter based WiFi SPARK have recently moved their banking services to Santander

The leading provider of high quality public WiFi nationally, WiFi SPARK will now be looked after by their local Santander Corporate & Commercial relationship team based in Pynes Hill, Exeter. Founded in 2003 by telecoms entrepreneur Matt O’Donovan, WiFi SPARK has established itself as the leader in specialist public wireless solutions. In recent years the focus was on building their workforce to ensure product offering was the most flexible, feature rich and scalable solution available.

In the past year WiFi SPARK has revolutionised the WiFi offering for the NHS, introducing a patient engagement platform that allows patients to check in to their appointments, find their way through the hospital and order their meals. They also implemented the WiFi for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, ensuring excellent coverage across the entire park and even 114 metres up into the air at the top of the ArcelorMittal Orbit Tower!

Matt O’Donovan, Chief Executive Officer:
‘WiFi SPARK is built on rock solid foundations, with over a decade of profitable trading, good cash reserves and industry leading software IPR. Our impressive customer base and technology leading development skills makes us well placed to lead the international WiFi revolution, backed by first class financial and banking services from Santander".

Charlotte Gough, Chief Financial Officer at WiFi SPARK:
‘Moving our banking services to Santander just makes sense for our business. Since our inception we have grown rapidly and we have significant future growth ambitions. We have found Santander to be the ideal banking partner; they understand our business and can support us to achieve our goals.’
