Urban Wimax sets target to double customer base following £2.15m funding through Breakthrough

Business connectivity provider Urban Wimax aims to double customer numbers in the next 12 months following a multi-million pound investment. The company has rebranded itself as Luminet following the acquisition of £1.5m turnover IT services and data centre company Vital Group for an undisclosed sum. A £2.15m investment secured through our Breakthrough programme has seen it upgrade its core connectivity network and unbundled 22 London telephone exchanges to provide bespoke fibre broadband services. It now plans to double its 500-strong customer base over the coming year by offering a new Performance Management platform to customers which routes connectivity to business critical applications.
