UK websites missing out

Technology group PPRO has warned that British retailers are losing out to foreign rivals because of a lack of paying options on their websites for overseas shoppers. The payments processing group says that there is an overreliance for payments on credit and debit cards, and electronic wallets such as PayPal. Just 6% of British websites offer additional options. PPRO says this means a lot of business from China, Brazil and India is missed out on, because a range of prepayment cards, vouchers, virtual currencies and online wallet services are popular in these countries.
