Sunny future for solar M&A deal activity

Solar Panels - £11bn invested in UK solar project deals since 2013 - SantanderCB

UK Renewable Energy Finance 2016, a report from Clean Energy Pipeline and law firm TLT, has revealed that there has been £11bn invested in UK solar project deals since 2013, with a 14% increase in tracked deals seen last year to a total acquisition value of £1.6bn.

There has been a strong start to 2016, with £333m in deals so far reported. M&A activity in the sector is also expected to remain strong, with Maria Connolly, head of real estate and energy and renewables at TLT, expecting it to continue well into 2017.
