Steel company invests after 'record year of growth'
Caldicot-based steel company Pro Steel Engineering has reported a 'record year of growth' after investing in a dedicated fabrication facility.
The company secured £360,000 of investment from Santander Corporate and Commercial for a dedicated fabrication facility in Caldicot.
It is equipped with technology to bring the steel fabrication process fully in-house, which will lower costs and enable more growth opportunities.
The company has now introduced new services including the installation of metal decking.
Pro Steel has appointed a new operations director to lead the new operation, and plans to employ another 20 full-time staff across the business in the next year.
Following the investment, the company posted an increase in turnover in its 2015 financial year, up to £15.5m from £3.6m.
