Smokehouse chain added to new £25m Grey's menu
Santander-backed Red's True Barbecue smokehouse chain has signed up to become the latest addition to intu Eldon Square's £25m dining zone in Newcastle, which opens up this autumn.
The chain has submitted an application to Newcastle City Council's building control service over its plans.
Red's True Barbecue was set up four years ago, and now boasts sites in Headingley, Manchester, Nottingham, Shoreditch, Liverpool and Sheffield.
There are plans to open a further eight to 10 smokehouses over the next two years.
In January the barbecue brand secured its second funding investment with Santander in a deal which also included a secondary round of equity investment from its original panel of industry leaders.
