Mothership Group, the owner of east London nightclub venues the Book Club and the Queen of Hoxton, has bought Brighton's beachfront venue Audio Club after securing £3.8m from Santander. Mothership founders Jon Ross and Andy Maddocks plan to relaunch Audio Club in the New Year. Ross said Brighton was demographically similar to Shoreditch with a big technology and media hub. Mothership also has a site in Dalston lined up, with plans to open a Brixton venue, and is also looking at potentially expanding to Bristol, Oxford and other university towns.
