Second acquisition in six months for Cloud Direct

Cloud Direct complete deal

Bath-headquartered IT services company Cloud Direct has bought London-based managed services business iHotdesk. It is the second acquisition for Cloud Direct in the past six months following its purchase of Datel Business Systems in June. The company said the acquisitions would support its 'ambitious growth plans' as it continued to 'strengthen and consolidate its market offering'. It is now able to offer new services including support for on-premises application servers, desktop environments and network infrastructures. Cloud Direct said revenue had almost doubled in 2015 and further planned acquisitions meant it was on track for further growth next year. In 2014 Cloud Direct secured funding from technology investors including Nigel Wray, Rob Giles and Jamie Brooke, as well as the West of England LEP 'Going for Growth' fund and Santander Bank.
