Santander Appoints New Business Development Director to Support Welsh Businesses

Santander Corporate & Commercial has enhanced its support for SMEs in Wales with the appointment of Paul Brooks as Business Development Director for Wales

Santander Corporate & Commercial has enhanced its support for SMEs in Wales with the appointment of Paul Brooks as Business Development Director for Wales. 

Based at the Corporate Business Centres in Cardiff and Swansea, Paul will be responsible for building new customer relationships as the bank looks to expand further in Wales. He joins a 30-strong team including sector and product specialists in Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Asset, Invoice and Trade Finance. 

Santander Corporate & Commercial has increased net lending to Welsh SMEs by 25% in the year to date. With overall net lending to SMEs in the region now standing at £565m, the bank is focused on enhancing the support it offers businesses in Q4 and beyond.

Paul previously held the role of Relationship Director within the Santander team and has over 25 years of experience working in the sector. Paul replaces Michael Davies, who is now the Head of Business Development for Santander Corporate & Commercial across the UK.
