Profits up as luxury hotel invests for growth
A luxury Yorkshire hotel currently in the midst of a multimillion-pound investment drive has posted results featuring increases in turnover and profitability.
Rudding Park, situated in 300 acres of parkland south of Harrogate, incorporates a four-star hotel and spa with a gym, private cinema, the Clocktower restaurant and an 18-hole golf course.
It is also home to a successful holiday park. In accounts for the year to 31 Oct 2015, the business made a profit of £1.53m, up from £1.03m in the previous period, on turnover up from £13.7m to £14.3m.
Rudding Park, which refinanced with Santander after the year-end, said forward bookings during 2014/15 had been 'on a par with previous years'. Work on a £9.5m spa project started early in 2016.
