Pay bills to take off as EU rules over holidays

Companies are preparing themselves for a rise in payroll costs after the European Court of Justice ruled that holiday pay must include not just basic salary but also an amount for overtime typically worked. The costs could rise still further this week as a British employment tribunal will meet to decide whether workers should also be entitled to commission payments on top of their salary when on holiday.
