Passion and support help Tiger roar

A Grow Your Business breakfast event hosted by Insider Media has heard from the co-owners of Welsh retailer Tiger Cardiff, as they explained how their passion and a supportive business community has helped them expand quickly. Kate Methuen-Ley and Helen Corsi revealed they had initially tried to set up all aspects of a shop in Cardiff's St David's centre themselves, before realising that they could not, prompting the duo to seek support from key strategic advisers in South Wales and online. Paul Brooks, business development director at Santander Corporate & Commercial Banking, also advised: 'Be realistic. You need to call out the things that may be challenges for the business, and say how you're going to get over those challenges. That adds credibility. Start with the end goal in mind and work back, for where you want to be in the short term, medium term and long term.'
