Nuts about growth - Zeina Foods secures funding

Fruit and Nuts - The UK's leading nut importer has received Santander funding - SantanderCB

One of the UK's leading dried fruits, nuts and seed importers has received Santander funding for working capital and continued growth.

Established in 1983 and based in Ossett, Wakefield, Zeina Foods Ltd (Zeina) is the UK's most prominent supplier, processor and wholesaler of pistachio nuts, other tree nuts, dried fruits and snacking seeds.

Managing Director, Mr Safaa Ali, has grown the business from a local trader of the imported product when it first started trading in 1983, to a ~£18m turnover business which employs more than 30 people.

Tavia Sparks, Relationship Director at Santander, said: “Zeina is a highly professional and progressive business and an excellent example of a Yorkshire company which has maintained a strong business, even during challenging economic times. We are delighted to work with this long-standing market leading wholesaler and excited to be providing facilities to support continued growth.”
