Nurturing student startups is so important
Commenting in The Times Successful Modern Entrepreneurship supplement, Santander Universities UK Managing Director Robin Foale outlines the importance the bank places in encouraging young entrepreneurs with their ambitions.
The programme partners with more than 1,200 educational institutions in more than 20 countries around the world, including 81 universities in the UK. The Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards offer one route of support, with cash and mentoring available to successful applicants.
This year will also see winners handed expert digital support and a marketing makeover. Foale also highlights the Santander Universities SME Work Placement programme, which funds paid internships in UK companies, helping provide students with valuable experience and delivering fresh talent to SMEs.
