Santander Corporate & Commercial is strengthening its support for local businesses and extending its presence in the Thames Valley with the opening of a new Corporate Business Centre in Slough.
The move is part of Santander’s strategic plan to grow its presence across the UK and demonstrates its commitment to the region’s businesses following steady growth to establish a local presence in the Thames Valley.
Relationship bankers at the new Corporate Business Centre on 268 Bath Road will provide a bespoke relationship banking service to corporate and commercial customers with a turnover above £250,000. Customers will be offered a full range of banking services, including asset finance, invoice finance, deposits, treasury, merchant recruitment, cash management and supplier payments.
The team is led by Cheryl Adams, Regional Director for Thames Valley, and includes Relationship Directors, Simon Rowland and Simon Ambrose, and Relationship Manager, Hayley Beaumont, who have more than 40 years of experience between them. The centre will also be supported by local credit partners to assist with lending decisions and specialist product partners.
The new office is located close to Slough Trading Estate in the hub of the local business community. Santander is focused on supporting businesses in the Thames Valley and it now has Corporate Business Centres in Slough, Basingstoke, Reading and Oxford. Santander has increased lending to businesses across the UK by an average of 20% per year over the last four years, and has extended £3.9bn of new facilities to UK corporates and SMEs since H1 2013.
