New Premises Allows Swindon's Inception Business Technology to Expand Workforce by 30%

Swindon-based Inception Business Technology (“Inception”) is to move to new freehold headquarters following funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial

Swindon-based Inception Business Technology (“Inception”), a leading supplier and maintenance provider of office equipment and associate supplies, is to move to new freehold headquarters following funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial. The move to bespoke premises will allow the firm to expand its workforce by 30% and increase its holding of stock and supplies.

Established 10 years ago to meet the growing need for local support of office equipment in the Wiltshire area, Inception now supplies its products nationwide and has many blue-chip clients including Newbury Building Society, Huntswood Group and multiple NHS, education and Government-funded bodies.

The new premises will be completely refurbished to Inception’s own specific needs and will include a workshop for engineers. The increased capacity will bring greater process security and the building acquisition will enable the company directors to better make provision for future financial stability. As well as the funding to help purchase the headquarters, Santander Corporate & Commercial has provided asset finance to assist with the purchase of two new vans.

Gareth Taylor, Co-Director, Inception Business Technology, said: “The nature of our business means there is a growing need to meet environmental concerns, which requires custom equipment and extraction processes not easily adapted into our current premises. We are therefore delighted to be moving to the new building, which we feel signifies a positive step forward in our ability to meet customer demand and plan for the future and will lead to more local employment opportunities.”

Richard Sollis, Relationship Director, Santander Corporate & Commercial, said:  “Inception Business Technology is a great example of a local business which spotted a gap in the market and has gone on to develop a strong customer base by successfully meeting its clients’ bespoke needs. Inception has been a customer of ours for a long time and we have been constantly impressed with its dedication and ambition to improving its processes. We are delighted to support its future growth and job creation.”
