PRESS RELEASE

Solihull-based The Natural Childcare Company Limited is set to expand its operations with the relocation of its Shirley premises and the opening of a second nursery in Dorridge, after receiving £650,000 in funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial.

Following a sustained period of growth and to better cater for local families, the child care business has leased and renovated Bentley Manor in Dorridge and purchased the former Library building on Church Road in Shirley. The new locations will cater for up to 200 children and will create 35 new jobs for the local area, bringing total staff to over 60.

Established by Katie Landreth in 2008, husband Tim joined the business in 2011 with a focus on financial management and site identification. Katie has 21 years’ experience in the childcare sector and is well regarded locally as an innovator in providing quality childcare in exceptional premises. She has vast experience opening and managing nurseries for large and small companies and the couple have plans to increase the number of nurseries they own from two to five, adding one nursery per year.

Katie Landreth, Managing Director, The Natural Childcare Company, said: “We are delighted to be able to expand our business and with the knowledge and experience we have of the local market, we are confident the nurseries in Dorridge and Shirley will be very successful. The team at Santander has been fully supportive of our expansion and their input has helped drive our business growth.”

Michael Graham, Relationship Director, Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “Santander is delighted to be able to support UK businesses such as The Natural Childcare Company, which provides an important and valuable service to local families. We have been very impressed by Katie, Tim and the team and look forward to working with them closely going forward.”
