Investors in bid to boost Britain's low productivity

Investment deal - Improve UK's productivity through long-term investment - SantanderCB

The Investment Association has revealed plans to improve the UK's productivity through long-term investment. Ideas to bolster long-term investment include improving investor engagement, enhancing company reporting to better show to what extent firms are contributing to the economy and adding more to the debate on tax and regulation with the aim of simplifying the system's treatment of long-term financing. The government has welcomed the initiative and the Chancellor will be updated on progress by the Investment Association.
