Huddersfield-based B&B Precision Engineering (“B&B Precision”), a leading manufacturer of high-grade machine parts and components, has acquired a new building to house a new hi-tech metal spray line and hire more staff following £795,000 in funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial.
B&B Precision is a well-established specialist manufacturing company supplying a wide range of components to niche product manufacturers including the wire manufacturing industry. The firm has an extensive range of turning and milling machines and manual machines for specialist requirements, as well as a number of in-house niche manufacturing capabilities.
The funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial will enable B&B Precision to bring metal spraying in-house, a specialist process that was previously outsourced, creating seven new jobs in the process. The development, which will involve the firm building the new high technology spray facility in a building next door to its current premises, will see the business significantly expand its capabilities and better cater for strong demand for its products from clients both in the UK and overseas – particularly those in the UK, Europe as well as in the US oil and gas industries.
Steven Haigh, Managing Director, B&B Precision Engineering (Huddersfield) Ltd, said: “I have been very impressed with the approach and service we have received from the team at Santander. From our first meeting Luke Rowbotham has worked hard to ensure he understood our needs and developed solutions to meet them. They have provided a complete funding package which was co-ordinated and managed through a single point of contact very efficiently. This efficiency has been key in not demanding a huge amount of time so we could concentrate on running our business.”
Luke Rowbotham, Relationship Director, Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “B&B Precision is a great local success story and we are delighted to provide funding as they look to broaden and expand. The business is actively looking to increase international trade as well as create new jobs in the local area which is a great testament to the management team.”
