German consumers most confident since 2011

A new poll from GfK has shown that consumer confidence in Germany is at its highest level since 2001, with next month's headline household confidence index forecast to rise to 9.3 points from 9.0 in January. The increase has been attributed to rising optimism over the economy and income expectations.
