ETG chief praises 'absolutely fantastic' Santander

Device - Technology group has emerged as one of the UK's most successful suppliers - SantanderCB

Engineering Technology Group has emerged as one of the UK's most successful suppliers of machine tools and engineering services in recent years and, following an MBO in May, further foundations have been laid for future prosperity and growth. In an interview, ETG's newly appointed group managing director Martin Doyle describes Santander Corporate Banking, which funded the MBO, as 'absolutely fantastic'. 'They were so supportive and flexible,' he explains. 'We had a number of meetings and they took the time to really understand the business and its aspirations. Of course they had a financial interest but they offered a wealth of invaluable advice and guidance at every step along the way. I simply can't praise them highly enough.' Doyle sees a bright future for his company: 'I make no secret that I see ETG as being the UK's premier machine tool resource in the coming years,' he says.
