Edwards Coaches receives backing for fleet expansion

Edwards Coaches has received a £2.2m funding package to add ten new vehicles to its fleet. Edwards said that our funding package was its biggest ever investment in its vehicles and would allow it to expand its fleet of holiday coaches, a key growth area for the firm. The company operates a fleet of more than 300 buses and coaches from its main base near Pontypridd. Clients include Cardiff City FC. Edwards expects to grow turnover by 10% to £36m in the year to March 2015. Andrew Williams, Relationship Director, Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: 'The business is an important component of the local Welsh economy and we look forward to working more closely with them as they deliver further growth.'
