Coventry's Aerocom Metals Looks to Expand into South East Asia

Coventry-based Aerocom Metals is to look to expand further into South East Asia following a total funding package of £955,000 from Santander Corporate & Commercial

Coventry-based Aerocom Metals (“Aerocom”), a leading provider of high-strength steel tubes to a global manufacturing client base, is to look to expand further into South East Asia following a total funding package of £955,000 from Santander Corporate & Commercial.

Aerocom, which now operates out of a 25,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters in Coventry, has benefitted from strong demand for its high-grade product range. The firm has provided steel tubing to a wide range of clients, in particular in the aerospace and motor sport sectors, even supplying their products to projects restoring old Hurricanes and Spitfires. The aerospace industry continues to be a core focus for the company, and plan to exhibit at the aircraft interiors expo in Hamburg next year following a huge success at Farnborough International Airshow in July this year.

While the business has representation in multiple international markets including India, Malaysia, China, Japan, as well as various European countries, the funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial will allow Aerocom to penetrate further into the South East Asian region and its fast-developing aerospace market. Aerocom plans to exhibit at the PRI (Performance Racing Industry) show in Indianapolis to develop further motorsport business in North America.

Simon Littleford, Director, Aerocom Metals Limited, said: “I am delighted with how successful our business has become and feel confident that we can continue this success in the future. We see international expansion as a key part of our business plan and have been impressed with the knowledge and experience provided by Santander.”

Leon Sloyan, Relationship Director, Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “Aerocom is an excellent example of a British business which has found a niche market in which to operate. They have seen great success in various international markets and we look forward to helping them expand even further and seize new business opportunities. Santander is committed to helping UK companies grow both at home and overseas, with our considerable global strength and expertise, we are well placed to help businesses in the West Midlands with their international growth plans.”
