Cornish sea salt producer to grow
The Cornish Sea Salt Company is doubling in size and creating 24 jobs over the next two years after receiving a £1.3m investment from the Cornwall Marine Network and Santander.
The investment will help the company expand production and invest in state-of-the-art technology to meet demand in 33 countries, including Bahrain and China.
Based in Lizard, the sea salt producer plans to expand production to about 1,000 tonnes this year.
The Cornish Sea Salt Company will use its investment in new technology to create flaked salt, which is regarded as having a more delicate flavour.
