'City should be shouting about its great road, rail and air links'

Leicester was recently named the third best UK city to set up a small business, according to research by the Association of Accounting Technicians, scoring highly on the amount of support available, property prices and the number of successful small firms already in the City. To support further business growth, the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership is working with the region's other LEPs to develop a £180m region-wide fund, with help from the EU and European Investment Bank. LLEP chairman Nick Pulley, also regional head of Santander corporate banking, is also leading a team to build a separate fund for the East Midlands.
