Chap expects regional recovery

Westhill-based building company Chap Group said it was expecting an improvement in northeast Scotland's economic conditions as it faced a small decline in turnover and profits. It said it was satisfied with its results, which included a £759,000 pre-tax profit in the year to September on turnover at £36m. During the year, Chap secured a new £20m banking facility with Santander to support its focus on securing development opportunities and land acquisitions.
