Chalgrove-based River is to make significant investment in its intelligent data and digital capabilities following a £3.1 million funding deal with Santander Corporate & Commercial.
Founded initially in 2001, River has grown into a firm targeting over £13 million in annual revenues by 2017 and employing more than 75 people. Management completed a Buy-Out in 2013 with the help of Percipient Capital as financial sponsor, with the core River team led by current CEO, Phil Dunk. In 2014 the business acquired Aqua Intelligence Ltd, adding database/ web/ business intelligence services to its employee engagement business.
The funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial will be used to support a number of growth-focused programmes and initiatives, including the development of app-based services for clients and the expansion of River’s intelligent data solutions. The increasing use of smartphones by the firm’s client base has created strong demand for apps, while the exploitation of corporate data to enhance business opportunities for its clients has quickly become a key specialism for the Company.
