Builder aims to triple homes

Banchory-based housebuilder and construction firm Bancon Group aims to triple the number of houses it builds annually over the next few years. Its growth plans follow a recent financing deal with Santander. The value was undisclosed but Bancon said it paved the way for many new homes. 'The new finance available from Santander should enable us to achieve our ambitious growth objectives over the next few years,' explained chairman Bob Hutcheson. 'With this significant injection of working capital and our access to a number of quality developments, we fully expect to see a dramatic increase in our activity.'
