Berkshire-based Promac to hire new staff and expand operations following £1.3m in funding

Santander Corporate & Commercial has provided £1.3m of funding to Berkshire-based construction and earth-moving equipment retailer Promac Solutions Ltd, enabling the company to expand its operations, increase stock, set up new mobile workshops and hire additional staff. Since being formed in 2006, Promac has grown to become the largest dealer by volume of South Korean manufacturer Doosan's machines in Europe. The firm operates from a purpose-built 1,400 sq. m facility in Aldermaston which has allowed it to significantly expand the parts, service and extended warranty side of its business. The company has a turnover of over £30m and boasts a workforce of 40. The funding from Santander will help Promac build on the mobile workshops above the existing ten already in place and expand to an additional parts and service depot in North Kent. Paul King, Relationship Director, Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: 'We're delighted to be able to support such a successful and well-run company which is set for a period of strong growth. The three founders have developed a very solid business model as a trusted distributor of Doosan and I have no doubt that in the coming years they will achieve their goals of becoming a £60m business.'
