Scaling your business can be a real challenge and it’s often hard to know what to tackle first or where to look for support and ideas. Working with UWE Bristol and Engine Shed, we’re hosting a business growth breakfast to offer you tangible ideas and innovative tools available in the West of England to help you achieve your business goals.

We’re excited to be collaborating with the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) to help you give your business the boost it needs for the next stage of its growth.

At this breakfast event, working with Engine Shed and UWE Bristol, we’ll cover a number of innovative and exciting ways to help scale your business, including:

  • What Engine Shed are doing to support businesses to scale using innovation and technology to fuel growth
  • How UWE Bristol can provide a range of opportunities for growing businesses to scale and increase their capacity
  • What a difference Santander subsidised internships can make to your organisation and how UWE Bristol can provide help identifying your future talent

Join us for a lively and interactive morning with like-minded ambitious businesses looking for their next growth opportunity.

About Briony Phillips & Engine Shed

Briony Phillips is Scale up Enabler for the West of England and Associate Director at Engine Shed. She joined Engine Shed from the Open Data Institute and now works to develop the scale-up ecosystem in the West of England and particularly to:

  • Understand and articulate the challenges faced by fast growth companies in the region
  • Map the support that’s available and identify the gaps to help motivate and support the private and public sector to take action
  • Facilitate greater investment, inspiration and support amongst the scale up business community.

Engine Shed is a platform for collaboration. It’s a collaboration between Bristol City Council, the University of Bristol and the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership at the heart of Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone. Engine Shed’s vision is that the Bristol & Bath city region is a growing, inclusive and sustainable economy that benefits everyone who lives there, and is recognised internationally as being innovative and dynamic. The organisation is future-focussed and purpose-led, supporting businesses to grow and scale in new and innovative ways.
