Pedals power ambitious growth for Whyte Bikes

Whyte Bikes

Founded in 1999, Whyte Bikes design and run their sales operation from their UK office in East Sussex, employing 25 people. Their products, ranging from mountain to e-bikes, are produced by global bike manufacturers and sold in the UK and throughout the world by independent retailers.

Santander, alongside Cairngorm Capital Partners, provided funding that will support growth capital investment in Whyte Bikes.

During the transaction, Santander demonstrated sector knowledge and experience, leading to Whyte Bikes moving their full service banking to Santander.

We’re very pleased with the trust in our business and the investment support provided by Santander and Cairngorm Capital Partners. This partnership provides Whyte Bikes with the necessary commitment and support to enhance the quality of our offering, extend our product range and ultimately, benefit our customers and riders.

Alongside the investment, the working capital funding will support Whyte Bike’s wider growth ambitions. Growth will be achieved through multiple avenues. From an increase in production, to investment into new product ranges and marketing, through to helping support expansion into new markets and territories.

Whyte Bikes is an established and leading brand in the mountain bike market, recognised for its quality and design strengths and has an exceptional management team. With the increasing trends in participation in all forms of cycling, the business has exciting growth prospects in both the UK and international markets.

We’re very pleased to have provided our knowledge and experience of the wider sector, offering a financing solution to support the business with their growth ambitions.
